Date/Time: January 18th, 2:00 pm   

Topic/Skill: Advanced Level Listening

Teacher Presentation: Ms. James presented the class with an assignment: watching one of a selection of TED talks about a variety of subjects. They discussed the topics as well as the work to be done after watching them.

Classroom Management: Students worked in their seats on their own devices and watched materials as they were presented on the front screen, with Ms. James sitting in the middle of the room. One student left for the latter portion of the class to work in the nearby computer lab.

Materials: Computers, projector, speaker, high speed internet

Student Participation: The students asked questions and offered opinions during the presentation, then turned to work on their assignments separately. 

Feedback Provided: Ms. James clarified questions about the assignment as well as about the course going forward.

Lesson(s) on teaching you learned: An advanced listening class can be highly independent, as at that point the students' are largely capable of immersing in English on their own, and need only be given a starting point and something to do with it.
