Topic/Skill: Presentation review/critique

Feedback provided to tutee: I watched Sultan's recordings of both his rehearsal and his presentation in class. I made notes and gave feedback on word choice, use of slides, rate of speech, audience inclusion, and his position while speaking.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Similar to his first presentation, any flaws were more to do with presentation giving itself rather than knowing English. There were some interesting points however, such as his use of "businessmen" where I felt it would be better to say "economists," not only because its more inclusive and formal, but because "according to economists" is such a common phrase in American business and news English that its almost an idiom in how natural it sounds, which was interesting to think about from a language and culture perspective.
