Topic/Skill: reading and speaking

Feedback provided to the tutee: In our second session, we finished reading “The Grumpy Old Ox,” and checked comprehension by drawing up a before/after chart. In the story, the grumpy ox went through major moments of character development, so we spelled out the differing characteristics, recalling the plot. 

Lessons Learned: She enjoyed drawing this chart with me and was able to visualize how much the ox had changed, even though these differences might or have been explicit page by page
