Topic/skill: In this session, we started creating our mini-persuasive essays together. I had common phrases that are used to try and expose her to keywords that can signal what kind of essay it is, as well as a list of prompts to write about. After choosing prompts to write about we started crafting the essay. Using the story template we created a beginning, middle, and end to help demonstrate the way the essay moves through events. 

Feedback: The point of this session was to introduce how to create a persuasive essay. In addition, this was to better familiarize Ye-won with what a persuasive essay is so that next time she can decipher the differences in essay styles.
