Topic/skill: We worked on reading comprehension. Ye-won brought AR books that I had her read and then asked her questions about the contents of the books such as the 5 W’s to help her remember the story better. If there were any questions that were tricky we came back to them after rereading the story.

Feedback: She is getting better at paying attention to the stories she is reading and being able to answer the reading comprehension questions. I have moved away from multiple-choice questions so that she has to remember the details without being reminded. When she needs help getting an answer I assist by giving her multiple options to answer the question with and she has to choose the correct one.
